Excel Swim School Policies and Procedures

Registration and Program Policies:

  • Payment and a signed release form are required to hold registration.  Registering can be done by filling out the online form and or print the brochure and mail to the correct location address.  If you have any questions you can call or email a site director.  Once your registration form is received you will get a call from a site director within 5-7 business days.
  • No refunds will be given after the first day of the session.
  • Excel Aquatics does not automatically re-register customers for additional sessions.  This is the customer’s responsibility to communicate with the site director.
  • Each class is limited to no more than (5) students per instructor.  Please register early to guarantee your enrollment.  The only exception to this student to teacher ratio is the Excel Experts and Parent & Tot Classes.
  • Cancellations: Make–ups will only be due to instructor absence, weather, or any pool problems that cause the facility to shut down.  Each instructor will personally contact you in this case.

Preparation for the First Day of Class:

  • For all classes a swim suit and towel are required.  Please have your child dressed and ready to get in the water.
  • Non-potty trained children must wear a disposable swim diaper under their swimwear.
  • Please arrive 10-15 minutes early on the first day so that we can introduce your swimmer to their instructor and go over any questions.
  • Please encourage your child to concentrate on the instructor and to try all skills and follow all safety rules.
  • Sometimes it is better if the parent stays out of sight so that the instructor can have all the attention during the lesson.
  • It is important to encourage your child and explain to them before lessons why learning to swim is important.  Showing your child how proud you are of them gives them the confidence to try new things.
  • Goggles – not required but some prefer wearing.  For safety reasons, it is a good idea for beginners to learn how to swim without goggles because sometimes they become dependent and think they can’t swim without them.  Goggles are up to the parent and instructor.

Parent and Student Conduct:

  • Students are not allowed to swim before or after their lesson.  If you are a member and plan to stay after lessons please be sure to keep your swimmer out of the instruction area.
  • If there are any medical circumstances, learning disabilities or water experiences that can be of assistance in teaching the student, please notify the instructor so that we can provide the proper instruction for your child.
  • Please encourage your child to use the restroom before class.
  • Parents must be present at the end of lessons to pick up their child.
